The prestigious magazine Forbes published a list of 10 cities where you eat the best in the street. The concept of street food has been adopted in all continents and in all cultures, and everywhere in the world you will find cities where eating in the street is a true tradition!
So what are the top 10 cities to eat in the street?
From the bottom up, here's the top 10:
10 – Ambergris Caye, Belize
If you pass Ambergris Caye, it is mainly seafood that you will have the pleasure to taste on the thumb. Most often at the barbecue, you will have the choice to eat out!
9 – Brussels, Belgium
The capital of Belgium and seat of European institutions is also known for its gastronomy. The fries, mussels and other waffles at strawberry or whipped make the happiness of tourists and Brussels. We find it in every corner of the street!
8 – Mexico, Mexico
These are not the specialties that are missing in Mexico City to eat on the thumb. Markets such as Mercado Allende in the Coyoacan district offer many juices, sandwiches, confectionery, traditional dishes peppered or not...Teco lovers, you will be the happiest. You can also test the tacos al pastor (farci to pineapple and pork)...Make in beauty by some churros...
7 – Istanbul, Turkey
The Döner was invented in Germany even if the origins are Turkish. In Turkey you will find many specialties such as simit, lahmacun or midye dolma. Specialties can be found everywhere in the Turkish capital, just open your eyes!
6 – Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam
Asian countries are known for their stalls in the streets full of food and spices. In Vietnam and especially in Ho Chi Minh, you must visit the markets of Ben Thanh and Binh Tay to find your happiness. Be careful not to go anywhere. Remember that the hygiene standards in Vietnam are not the same as in us and, for the most fragile stomachs, this can be a real problem!
5 – Palermo, Italy
An Italian city in the 5th place of this ranking, so surprised for those who don't know the Sicilian city. Indeed, Palermo is a special city where to eat in the street is a true tradition. From the panelling (on the photo), to the stigghiola and the panino con la milza, it is not the specialties that are missing. Careful, some specialties can be irritating because of their viscous appearance or smell, but most of the time, they prove to be good surprises.
Most of these dishes come from veal abats and unnoble remains. Indeed, in some epochs Sicily was a poor land and survival was through ingenuity and economy...
4 – Marrakech, Morocco
The old town of Marrakech and its Medina are not the most colorful places of the city only for the colors of the facades but also for all the stalls you can find around it. Full of spices, typical Moroccan dishes, they are no less than 100 stalls that simmer in the center. Harira, shwarma, tagine, impossible to leave the belly empty!

Soi 38 near Sukhumvit Roas, Soi Rambuttri near Khao San road are privileged places to go eat a piece while walking. The kitchen is everywhere in the country of smile and even more in the street! You don’t have enough of a week to test all the specialties you’ll find in Bangkok. But if you have a tight stomach, you can always try!
