Formed by the rivers Krka and Čikola which join here, this cascade on several floors flows on the rocks of travertine (calcarestones) and constitutes one of the most beautiful sites of the Krka National Park . Rossignols, dragonflies and butterflies flying around the falls are associated with green vegetation, turquoise waters and small islets: one would believe in a Disney account.
The Skradinski buk waterfall runs over 17 floors and 800 metres in length and has a total denived of about 45 metres. In the lower part of the cascade, there are cavities. Above the river, a pedestrian bridge was built to allow visitors to walk quietly and admire the natural "show".

Not only is it Krka National Park has beautiful waterfalls such as this one (especially Roški Slap), but it is also found two monasteries which is worth exploring. One of them, the monastery of Visovac, is located even on an island in the middle of the river, which resembles a lake in this precise place. It is accessed from the viewpoint on the small road of Drinovci in Siritovci.

How do I go to the Skradinski buk Falls?
The nearest town to Skradinski Buk (out of Skradin, which is a charming little town where you can spend the night) is Šibenik . You need about 15 to 30 minutes by car to go. But even to be in Skradin, it is more pleasant to take the boat on the river to sail towards the waterfalls. Skradin is relatively easily accessible from Plitvice or Zadar.
