Ah the mountain, the snow and its ski! Who didn’t dream of finding the heights in winter to enjoy the beautiful white coat? For some, the apprehension happens when skiing. If you're a beginner or almost non-initiated ski resort, it's better to turn to ideal ski resorts for beginner skiers like you or your children.

Thanks to its huge ski area, Paradiski, La Plagne is a suitable resort for all, beginners as experienced. It is considered a good ski resort for beginners since the entire area to be crossed via blue or green slopes, i.e. one hundred forty-nine tracks, of which eighty-four in La Plagne itself, on the two hundred and sixty-four of the complex.

Mechanical lifts are spread over the entire field and can be very easily reached. Know that the "Cool Ski" package is reserved for beginners, at almost half the price of the classic package, or 30€ per day instead of 54€. Everything is therefore made to attract beginners.

2. The Arcs

Les Arcs is a ski resort for beginners since it has the same ski area as La Plagne, Paradiski! The number of blue and green tracks is therefore identical. The difference with La Plagne is that Les Arcs includes "first glide" areas entirely free to start skiing.

Once the introduction is made, it is possible to borrow the cable car to devalue the “first turns” space composed of green tracks where you can stop many times to rest and, also, enjoy the landscape and breathe the good air of the mountain! Also the package is less expensive for beginners.

3. Ancelle

Ancelle is a real ski resort for beginners! First of all, it is a small resort, composed of twenty tracks in total, an ideal place to learn how to ski because there are far less skiers than in a large resort. Then, on these twenty tracks, twelve are green or blue.

In Ancelle, there is no space reserved for beginners since it is possible to devalue from the top to the station on, rare thing, a single blue track! This nevertheless requires an initiation before throwing into the large bath. Ancelle is also a more affordable station financially than its neighbors so don’t hesitate to jump the step!

4. Piau Engaly

Located in the Pyrenees , the station of Piau Engaly includes twenty-three blue or green tracks on the forty-one component of the domain. Most importantly, the resort has an area reserved for beginners with ski lifts only for this area, thus avoiding the good skiers, at least at the beginning. It is therefore a real ski resort for beginners.

The starting rate, set at € 30 per day, includes equipment rental, a learning course and access to the area. It's hard to resist such an offer if you're in the corner!

5. Méribel

Méribel has the largest ski area in the world, that of 3 Valleys . Yet, this does not prevent her from being an excellent ski resort for beginners. On the sixty-four tracks of the only station, more than half are indeed blue or green. Some are called playful to learn while having fun!

The Minipass, set at 29€, offers access to a part of the ski area composed only of blue and green slopes. In addition, the ski lifts are free, a low!

6. Gourette

With its ski area of thirty-nine slopes, half of which are green or blue, Gourette is ideal for skiing and a good ski resort for beginners. An area for beginners, "Happy Place", was arranged at altitude, which is quite rare because these areas are usually at the bottom.

This area is accessible by cable car and offers playful trails for young and old. Once you feel comfortable, you can devalue a green track down the station. Practical!

7. The Gets

The Gets have always been a ski resort for beginners. On the one hand, half of the thirty-five tracks are blue or green. On the other hand, the station offers a "P'Tite Glisse" package at €23, giving access to five green tracks, five blue tracks and some mechanical lifts.

Also the resort has the free area of the "Mappys", an ideal place with carpet to learn how to ski safely, with treadmill and the presence of small slopes.

8. Monts Jura

With the presence of ten green slopes and thirteen blue on the forty-one of the estate, the Jura Mountains are a good surprise in the ski resorts for beginners. For example, the Menthières site offers access to a beginner track via a treadmill.

The Jura Mountains are mostly a less frequented resort than its nearby mountaineers. It is indeed always better to avoid the crowd when you learn to ski!

9. Risoul

With a large ski area composed of a hundred-two slopes, half of which are green or blue, Risoul has a beginner area accessible by chairlift to the Peyrefolle summit, culminating at 2,457 meters above sea level. At the top, the descent is done via green tracks only.

On the other hand, it is noted that there is no real beginning space, which prevents novices from finding their account.

10. Chamrousse

If Chamrousse, with its many black and red slopes, can sometimes be considered a resort for confirmed skiers, it is forgetting the presence of twenty-two blue or green slopes on the forty-two of the estate.

Also the area of the mini-domain is reserved for beginners, small and large, accessible on several altitudes with lifts and treadmills. The price is very interesting because more than two times cheaper than the classic day (15 € versus 36.50 €).

11. Gavarnie

Good ski resort for beginners, Gavarnie has fifteen green or blue slopes on the twenty-nine of his estate. It is a family resort and less crowded than others, ideal for learning to ski.

The station includes two beginner spaces: a real one at the bottom of the domain, including three mechanical lifts, for an initiation; another one at the top of the estate by following the green tracks to reach the bottom of the station. The single rate for beginners is 16€, compared to 23 (excluding school holidays) or 29€ for access to the entire domain.

12. Luz Ardiden

The famous Pyrenees station, Luz-Ardiden has some blue or green tracks, barely seven on the twenty-nine of the estate. In order to attract more families, the resort has a starting space with a treadmill to learn how to ski safely.

The initiation rate is €15, compared to €35 for a day to access the entire ski area, which is an interesting offer.

13. Avoriaz

Frontalier de la Switzerland , the Avoriaz ski area includes twenty-nine green or blue slopes over the forty-nine in total. It is therefore a good ski resort for beginners.

There are also two beginner spaces, with only blue and green tracks, which are easily accessible by mechanical windings. However, there are no preferential rates.

14. Les Houches

Situated in the middle of the massif Mont-Blanc , the resort des Houches includes twelve blue and green slopes on the thirty of the ski area. But what is most important to the Houches who makes her a ski resort for beginners is her domain of Tourchet.
