Visit places where the Star Wars saga was toured
The shooting of Seventh episode of Star Wars , scheduled to be released in December 2015, began in Abu Dhabi last month. The first six films of the series were shot in dozens of places around the world, from the Death Valley in California to the salt marshes of Tunisia, and most sites still contain the scenery of Star Wars left by the scenographers. In this 4 May , Star Wars day , here is a summary of the best places to walk on the steps of the saga Star Wars .
Matmata, Tunisia

What better place to start than Tatooine , the birthplace of Luke Skywalker, or more precisely, village of Matmata Tunisia. Luke’s house in the Episode IV: A New Hope , where he lived with his aunt and uncle, is one of the many "troglodytes" homes in the Berberophone village of Matmata. The interior scenes were shot in a courtyard at the Sidi Driss Hotel, which still receives guests. Some wall paintings of the film are still visible.
Chott el-Jérid, Tunisia

In the Episode III: The Revanche of the Sith , scenes were shot again near Matmata, Chott el-Jérid a huge saline in the north west of the Tunisian village.
In addition, in the desert east of Nefta and close to the Algerian border, this is where C3PO and R2D2 are lost and fall on the skeleton of a Krayt dragon.
Sidi Bouhlel Canyon, Tozeur, Tunisia

Now known as the Star Wars Canyon, Sidi Bouhlel (in Tunisia) occupies an important place in the Episode IV: A New Hope , and come back in Episode I: Ghost Threat . The canyon was also filmed in The adventurers of the lost ark (Indiana Jones) and The English Patient .
Ajim, on the island of Djerba, Tunisia

We stay in Tunisia to find Mos Eisley, where Luke and Obi-Wan meet Han Solo and Chewbacca, and who is actually the city of Ajim , on the island of Djerba. The exterior of the Obi-Wan house (or Ben Kenobi), which turns out to be a mosque, and Cantina de Chalmun (and its dome-shaped roof) can still be seen. It is in this latter that one finds Figrin D’an and the Modal Nodes (the band of musicians). The images in Ajim appear in episode IV.
Dante’s View, in the Death Valley, California

The Death Valley National Park in California, the lowest and dryest region in North America, is also used for the fictional city of Tatooine. The Dante’s View , a remarkable point of view, in the Episode IV: A New Hope . It is used to show a panoramic view of Mos Eisley.
Tikal Mayan temple complex in Guatemala

At the end of the 1977 film (episode IV), we can see the Mayan temple complex at the end of the film. Tikal in Guatemala, and the surrounding jungle. It serves as a rebel base for the natural satellite of Yavin IV.
Finse, Norway

Hoth , an ice planet that appears in the Episode V: The Empire Against Attack , is actually Hardangerjøkulen glacier near Finse Norway. There is no road to Finse, but this city has one of the highest stations in Europe. The trains that cross the country between Oslo and Bergen stop here.

Much of the Episode VI: The Return of the Jedi was shot in the United States. Buttercup Valley in the desert of Yuma is the place where the sailing ship of Jabba the Hutt was built.
The huge trees of the planet "Endor" are the Redwood National Park giant sequoias California, which reaches heights of more than 110 metres.
Ksar Ouled Soltane, Tunisia

For the Episode I: The Ghost Threat , the film crew returns to Tunisia, which puts Tatooine again. The Ksar Ouled Soltane , a fortified attic built by the Berbers, located about 16 km south of a true city called Tataouine , represents the Mos Espa slave area, where Anakin Skywalker grows.
Qui-Gon Jinn and Dark Maul tells Onk Jemal a rock formation in the deserts near Tozeur.
Palace of Caserte, North of Naples, Italy

In episodes I and II of Star Wars, the action takes place in the palace of Theed, the capital of planet Naboo. It is in reality Palace of Caserte an ancient residence of the royal family of the Bourbons of Naples. Listed to Unesco’s World Heritage since 1997, it was built to compete with Versailles. She's the largest royal residence in the world.
In Italy

Italy also serves as a decor in episodes II and III. Anakin and Padmé marry Villa Balbianello , on the shores of Lake Como ( Episode II: The Attack of the Clones ). The villa is open to visits from March to November. She also appeared in Casino Royale with Daniel Craig.
In the Episode III: The Revanche of the Sith , Anakin is injured on the slopes of Etna en Sicily . The volcano serves as a decor for the planet Mustafar.
Place of Spain in Seville

Other scenes of Star Wars’ fifth opus were shot in Seville. Search for the arcades of the palace Place of Spain , one of the most beautiful of the Andalusian capital, where a canal, surrounded by bridges, surrounds the square. It is here that Anakin and Padmé Amidala enjoy a walk in L’Attaque des clones .
Guilin, China

The Bernese Alps around the city Grindelwald (Switzerland) serves as a decor for the planet Alderaan (or Aldorande), again in episode III. The places also appear in another James Bond, In His Majesty's Secret Service .
