Information to know
You have the choice between three options to make tandem paragliding over the Costa Adeje from the Pico del Teide. The first option lasts 20 minutes and the second option lasts 30 minutes . Finally, for the most adventurous, the last option that is the highest flight in Europe, lasts 45 minutes !
The activity is supervised by Touch The Sky, a local agency with 10 years of experience in the field. It is therefore perfectly reliable to accompany you on this tripoding adventure.
Keep in mind that all minors must be accompanied by their parents. Also, the minimum weight for the activity is 35 kg and the maximum weight is 120 kg . Finally, feel free to wear warm clothes.

Paragliding is considered an activity "ounce in a lifetime" . In other words: an opportunity not to be missed! This new tandem paragliding session in Tenerife is therefore the opportunity to discover the Canary Islands from a absolutely unique point of view .
First, the agency will give you an appointment to about 15 minutes from the Costa Adeje and Playa de las Americas. You can arrange a free pick-up with the agency if you are located in the south of Tenerife.
When you arrive at the starting point, you will be acquainted with your instructor who will give you all the instructions. Stay attentive, and do not have (yet) the head in the clouds. You will then receive your equipment, which you complete with personal effects such as sunglasses and a camera. Also think about sun cream.
If you are a beginner, you can choose to for about 20 minutes. This option is to be preferred if you want to test the paragliding but are not ready to leave for a very long time. The view remains exceptional! It should be noted that for this option, the flight will start from the take-off area of Taucho.
Then the second option is a with maintenance of altitude around 1,000 metres thanks to thermal elevators. You can even take orders if you wish! This experience is new and will surely make you fall in love with Tenerife and the Costa Adeje.
Alternative: paragliding in Puerto de la Cruz

If you are north of Tenerife, this option is particularly interesting. It allows you to fly in tandem paragliding during 35 minutes about, to 2 200 metres .
As with our spot at the Costa Adeje, minors must be accompanied by adults. The passenger must weigh between 35 and 120 kg . Also, plan warm clothes.

The Enminube agency, which has thousands of hours of flight to its assets, will give you an appointment on the Izana side in the Teide National Park. If you are staying in the northern part of Tenerife, you can request a free pickup to the meeting point.
After the explanations of your instructor, and the point on the equipment, you can fly serenely. Do not forget your sunglasses, total screen and possibly your camera whose straps are well attached to your wrist. In addition, the agency offers up to 10 free photos.
Then you will fly over the park, with a breathtaking view of the Teide volcano . Also, you will cross a few seas of clouds and other forests, to fill your memory head. The trajectory will bring you to good port, in Puerto de la Cruz, for a smooth landing. Pay attention when you arrive: you will pass over the old town La Orotava. The latter is renowned for its charm and heritage. Moreover, after the flight, don’t hesitate to take a ride!

Our tips to make paragliding in Tenerife
For a successful paragliding session, there are some prerequisites. Nothing bad, but information equally essential for a memorable experience.
- Children under 5 years unfortunately cannot make paragliding. For the rest, there is no age limit, even if minors must have parental permission ;
- Some providers do not allow flight to people weighing more than 120 kg (sometimes less), do not hesitate to ask you in advance;
- A suitable outfit (sport holder) is obviously advised to take advantage of the maximum flight;
- People with reduced mobility can practice paragliding;
- There is no need to have a medical certificate or to be in very good physical condition;
- Well, you know, your flight may be cancelled in case of poor weather conditions (wind, rain, storm...). So we strongly advise you to book your activity at the beginning of your holiday week in order to be able to shift your flight in case of inconvenience.
We also specify that the feeling of vertigo does not exist during a paragliding descent, since you then have no connection to the farmland. On the other hand, you may feel the evil of air, even if it remains very rare.
If you are used to feeling bad in public transport, do not hesitate to mention it to your monitor paragliding, which will take great care to be delicate during the flight.
