Japan, before the rising sun

Of course, Japan is known as the "Pearing Sun Country", but do you know why? First of all, because the term “Japan” translates “ Nihon or " Nippon in Japanese, which means "country or land of the Sun-Levant".

But the origin of this known expression of all was about 1,500 years old. The Japanese prince Shotoku would then have sent a letter to his Chinese counterpart, beginning it in such a way: “The emperor of the country where the sun rises sends a letter to the emperor of the country where the sun sets.” Japan, more to the East than China , was then designated as the country where the sun rises, contrary to its Chinese neighbour.

But if Japan is known as the Land of the Sun-Levant, it is nevertheless in the hollow hours, when the night beats its full and that only Japanese neon illuminate the alleys, that our fascination for this exult culture.

The excitement of the tokyoic alleys taking life once the night falls is at its paroxysm, and the lighting of the cherry blossoms in Kyoto becomes marvelous, and the memories created during these dark hours become ineffacable.
