Lavomatic is a secret bar in Paris and its history begins with that of three young entrepreneurs: Marie, Yoan and Tacos. Together, they dream of creating a restaurant or hotel with a cocktail offer. The idea is making its way: the 3 entrepreneurs work hard. The brainstorm leads to the opening of a hidden bar! Lavomatic was born! It opens its doors in 2015.

This bar is based on the Speakeasy model, a type of underground bars of American origin. Speakeasy saw the day at Prohibition in the 1920s. Totally hidden in the eyes of the general public, the speakeasy was hidden behind the back shops, cellars and barns. The aim is to prevent them from being spotted by the authorities. They only opened late at night. The owners of these underground establishments asked customers to speak gently. Speak slowly, that is translated by speakeasy in English...

The Lavomatic borrowed the concept, making it much more modern (and legal). The aim is to compete with typical Paris bistros and breweries.

Today, the secret bar is known many. However, some tourists and even locals come to this laundry without even knowing that it contains the entrance of a secret bar!
