This neighborhood is close to the city centre on its eastern side, and is bordered by the sea and the beach of the same name as the neighborhood. It is called “the queen of northern beaches”: it must be said that Malo-les-Bains is a renowned seaside resort for more than a century. It is a 4-kilometre long sand cord! The neighbourhood also houses a casino and Palais des Congrès , which makes it a pristine area of the wealthy and worldly classes.
Doing and seeing in the neighborhood? The Monument of the fiftieth anniversary of Rosendaël , beautiful seafront walks, and a plurality of green spaces where to stroll. South of Malo-les-Bains stretches a very commercial area, adjacent to the city centre.
If the hotels in Dunkerque are all stormed by the beach, it is a neighbourhood to be targeted because it is relatively central. Rosendaël is a former commune merged in the agglomeration of Dunkerque. Do you like beer? Don’t hesitate to come and taste this drink of the northern breweries, there are more than a hundred! You wish to go to De Panne for having fun in Plopsaland ? Area south of the city, Petite-Synthe is the largest in the city, housing a commercial area. It attracts primo-accedants with moderate budgets who acquire small houses.
