Where to rent accommodation in Brisbane? The offer of accommodation is abundant, but expensive, as often in Australia: the apartment, the hotel, the accommodation, the living room, the backpackers hotels... Here's where Brisbane is staying.
Brisbane City
Within the CBD – the Central Business District - the Brisbane City is the business centre as well as the very effervescent area where most of the city’s social activity takes place: between the shores of the Brisbane River winding between bridges and skyscrapers, parks and botanical gardens, the centre is both noisy, muddy, tourist and pleasant.
A plethora of shops of all kinds is there, from underground mall Clothes of apparel to pubs and breweries. Here you will find a few monuments and museums to visit, just like the Brisbane Museum .
It is an ideal and very central area where to stay in Brisbane, because the Central station is there not far. But it will be necessary either to book in advance, or to devote a large budget to its housing, or even both!

It is not the South Bank, but a very active cultural area south of Brisbane, separated from the CBD by the Victoria Bridge. Southbank is attached to the south shores of the river.
Several museums are essential to visit, such as the Queensland Museum , Queensland Marine Museum The dock museum. Not far away, several art centers and many bars and restaurants, especially towards Melbourne Street and Boundary Street . Don’t miss to offer you a good bowl of pure air in the middle of lush tropical vegetation, near Brisbane’s wheel, Wheel of Brisbane along the docks: a beautiful shaded urban walk where it makes a good stroll, with a view of the skyscrapers. Fortitude Valley
“ The Valley "is located in the north of the city centre, it is the neighbourhood of young travellers – backpackers – and festivities. A small Chinatown, Chinatown, is located there. We'd find almost more bars and pubs than houses so many, between Ann Street and Wickham Street . It stretches north of the Story Bridge, with a unique view of CBD skyscrapers.
During our visit in 2012, it was in this neighborhood that we chose a youth hostel to sleep in Brisbane. A tip, don’t choose Fortitude Valley if you’re not a nocturnal: in the evening, the streets turn to accommodate the many parties ready to spend the night in the countless bars and nightclubs in the neighborhood.
