A trip in preparation in the United States, Massachusetts? Here are the best areas to stay in Boston!
The largest city and capital of Massachusetts, Boston – founded in 1630 – is one of the oldest cities in the United States. A renowned university city – the MIT and Harvard University are located in Cambridge, on the other side of the Charles River -, Boston is located north of the “BosWash”, a megalopolis of the northeast of the country spread over 800 kilometers encompassing Boston, New York, Philadelphia and Washington. The city has a population of 673,184 inhabitants and comprises 4.63 million inhabitants throughout the urban area. Because of its colonial past, the urban landscape in Boston differs by streets that are not straightforward and by the preservation of many colonial buildings in the city centre. Staying in Boston promises to be a successful encounter between his rich past in New England and his sharp shift in modernity.
The territory of Boston is cut into many neighborhoods where it makes good to stroll, look at the time that passes, shopping, smash bars and museums, photograph historical monuments, etc, but we can not all introduce them. Here is a tour of the center's neighborhoods mainly: our selection of areas to stay in Boston.
North End
The area has been occupied since 1630 and is the historic district of Boston. This old immigration district was the homeland of the Irish and the Jews in the 19th century and that of the Italians in the 20th century. As a result, a myriad of Italian restaurants are scattered in this formerly malfame and counter-indicated neighbourhood. Today, the atmosphere has improved and the area is among the most touristic in Boston. The picturesque North End squares and churches would almost make us feel in Italy. But staying in Boston can be expensive: we will hardly have an individual apartment less than $1,000 a month. Even in Airbnb, the housing prices will be high.

Downtown
In the south of the historic centre, you will find the Downtown: here you will find a unique mix between past and modernity. The skyscrapers to American – the new fortresses? – mix with old colonial and historical buildings. The area is home to the central railway station – ideal if you take the train to New York – the port of Boston, green areas bordering the sea and many bars and restaurants where you can enjoy. Guests can also book a room to sleep in Faneuil Hall and Quincy Market, the city’s tourist centre: staying in Quincy Market will be expensive and very crowded, only if you enjoy the hyper-central areas.

Beacon Hill
Beacon Hill, located west of downtown, is located on Boston Common, Boston Hill. The neighbourhood is characterized by its Victorian-style red brick constructions, reflecting English architecture. The district was one of the spearheads of the abolitionist movement at the end of the 18th century. Today it is described to us as elegant and picturesque, a typical area of Boston where it makes a good walk in the narrow streets. Accommodation in this residential area will certainly be quiet, but expensive.

If you like culture and party, this is where you have to come and put your suitcases to stay in Boston but the neighborhood is very busy at night, your accommodation may be a bit louder than elsewhere.
