In which city house in Iceland?

Are you going to Iceland, this very fashionable island state? Here is our selection of cities to stay in Iceland!

Iceland, literally “Iceland”, is an island state of the North Atlantic Ocean, located between Norway and Greenland, with many volcanoes. Colonized by the Vikings from the 9th century, this State Island, one of the most developed countries in the world, houses a total population of 348,500, a large part of which lives in the capital Reykjavik (128,318 inhabitants), and more and more international travellers. As a popular tourist destination, Iceland has a lot of passions: a rich and grandiose nature, impressive waterfalls, huge glaciers, volcanoes and lava fields, an almost permanent disconnection of elements, including water, air, land and fire have shaped the territory over the millennia.

Travelling to Iceland offers to take a full look but be careful, staying in Reykjavik or in other cities promises to be expensive: it is not a cheap destination, on the contrary. Here is a list of the cities where to stay in Iceland.

The swimming pools and saunas are very popular: the city has 18 pools heated by geothermal and practicable all year round. Enjoy it to swim in the middle of winter by 0°C! L’ Church Hallgrimskirkja – Try to pronounce the name... – is a Lutheran church rising to 74.5 meters above the ground, is essential. Its summit offers stunning views of the city centre.

Sleeping in Reykjavik in the main shopping streets is also ideal for shopping. In the center, the pond Reykjavíkurtjörn is very popular with travellers, and offers an open-air ice rink in winter.
