An Asian getaway to visit Singapore, the "garden city"? Here are the best areas to stay in Singapore!
South-East Asian State, Singapore is a republic built on an archipelago of 63 islands with a total area of 719.1 km2. With a population of 5,535,000 inhabitants, it can be difficult to find accommodation on site, especially since Singapore has the first place on the podium of the world’s most expensive cities. As the Asian Dragon has forged its world reputation on its economic prosperity, Singapore has one of the highest levels of life on the planet.
Situated south of the island of Pulau Ujong, the city of Singapore is very densely populated, but the lush equatorial vegetation and the many parks and botanical gardens that pass through the city offer a very enjoyable haven of peace in the middle of the megalopolis. Here is a mini-guide of the neighborhoods where to sleep in Singapore.

No waste or graffiti or gum on the streets, Singapore will surprise you with its cleanliness. But behind the sparkling facades and beautiful sidewalks, Singapore is also the Chinese, Malaysian, Indian and Western cultures that mix in the kitchen, music and fashion. If you stay there only a few nights, staying in Singapore in the centre is certainly the most convenient solution for you. Near the center, it will be difficult for you to make the impasse on the hotel Marina Bay Sands , whose iconic silhouette has become a symbol of the State City. This includes a world-famous overflow pool, a 24/7 open casino and a luxurious shopping centre.

Little India

Little India is a neighborhood described as a world apart. Situated south of Singapore, near Kallang, Little India – the small India – is home to the homeless, non-Western Singapore, home to the Indian community. Saryes, curry odors, fabric stores, flower stalls and spice shops are driving the shopping life of the neighbourhood. Cheap neighborhood and served by the metro (the MRT), Little India is a colorful top and features old colonial buildings with ochres, yellows, blues, reds and greens. It is in this neighborhood that you have to sleep if your budget is fair: you will find hostels in dorms for cheap or... in capsule!

China Town

The Chinese quarter is Singapore's largest neighbourhood. It mixes religions and cultures, between Buddhist temple, Hindu temple – Sri Mariamman – and the mosque, and is therefore very cosmopolitan. Nightlife is very lively, especially on the side of Duxton Hill and Club Street. To close the Singaporean population, there is no better way to go out: here you will find the bars and trendy restaurants of the city.

Geylang

In the south of the city centre, there is Geylang, the favorite French quarter: it is lively, and it houses many colocations – an ideal plan if you stay for a while – and if you want to stay in Singapore without being disturbed by the language barrier. In Asia, it is not always necessary to cook: in the Geylang district, many food court allow to eat for cheap.

Holland Village

Holland Village is the historical district of the island, appreciated by locals and expatriates. It is Singapore’s bobo that gathers together, with a rather large offer of accommodation, from home to hotel, to apartment and hostel. The botanical garden – ranked on the UNESCO Heritage List -, not far, can offer pleasant walks. Nice cafes and restaurants adjacent to this central and multicultural district, but British colonization remains, alas, still visible, especially in architecture. An ideal area where to stay in Singapore despite everything, while enjoying a village life.

Serangoon

Further north of the city centre, is the most popular French neighbourhood: Serangoon. Singapore is home to the largest French community in Asia, and these are located in this area because the French high school in Singapore is located there. However, prices are rather high.
