How to get the FAN ID for the 2018 World Cup?

The FAN ID, what is it?

From November 16 to 28, 2017, the ticketing for World Cup games is open on the basis of the "first come, first served". The Russian authorities have put in place a simplified procedure for the issuance of the classic visa: the FAN ID, or passport of the supporter. It is a nominative laminated card, which includes the personal data of its owner (name, first name, identity photo). It is attributed to all Russian and foreign spectators, including children.

As soon as it is obtained, it acts as a visa and allows to attend the future games of the competition and also includes free transportation to rally the stadiums of the host cities of the games. To move you free of charge, you will have to have FAN ID, a ticket for the match, and a valid ID. This advantage includes trains and public transport (bus, tram and metro), not air transport.

How to get his FAN ID?

Soon your ticket in your pocket, online form on the FAN ID site is to be filled to get it. If you can’t do it online, get close to a FAN ID distribution center. Your civil status (name, first name(s), date of birth, sex), details of your identity document (number, serial, type, delivery date), your nationality, your ticket order number for a match, an identity photo, your mobile phone number, your e-mail address and your postal address (required to receive your FAN ID).

What is the process of issuing my FAN ID?

The procedure is as follows: when your request is submitted – click on the tab "check status" in the web page - you will receive an SMS as an acknowledgement of your request, which will be reviewed within 72 hours. You can request the FAN ID reception at your home by post, and then you will only have it follow the delivery step by step. Otherwise it will have to come in person to a Russian post office: count between 6 and 9 days of delivery for your FAN ID to a partner post office.
