Practical case
Serge is 26 years old, a young executive with two housing units. Including one that it makes available on Airbnb for seasonal rental. What services are offered by a check-in agency?
The offer of most of the check-in agencies takes place in three times: before, during and after travellers leave.
Before the arrival of the passengers
The agency agrees with you on how to remove the keys from your accommodation. She then contacts the tenant to agree on an appointment or check-in place. An hour of check-in has been agreed (count about 2h30 more than arrival time when your tenant is travelling by plane, and 1h30 if he is travelling by train). Once the tenant and "checker" met, this one is taken to the accommodation.
During the stay
Upon arrival of the tenant in the accommodation, the checker offers a warm and smiling welcome. A tour of the owner and a state of the premises are made, then the checker gives the keys to the tenant. A few good plans are provided to improve the acclimatization of the surrounding area and to enhance its stay.
After the stay
Once your tenant is on the start, the check-in agency (or concierge) comes in possession of your keys, keeps it until you can pick them up in person. An assessment of the location is done and you are finally given.
How does the check-in work via an agency?
The check-in agencies operate mainly in the act, from about 18 to 20€ per entry or exit. Thus, you do not have a weekly, monthly or annual subscription to pay. You call your preferred check-in agency only when needed.
In addition, some agencies offer rather interesting flexibility and broadness. As in particular, to wait another 30 minutes in case of delay of the tenant on arrival and departure. Or lower additional costs if necessary.
