It is spring in France. While the country is under a bell, two entrepreneurs are confined to the same roof. Eric (CEO travel media Wanderlix.fr ) and Sylvain (COO of the sports housing platform Sportihome.com ) then give birth to Explore France. In less than 10 days, the idea becomes project, until it becomes concrete on the canvas.

If it takes its first steps on social networks behind a hashtag and a Facebook page, the movement is now accompanied by an accessible tool: the generator of travel ideas exploresfrance.fr . In a single click, Explore France invites you to discover unusual destinations throughout the Hexagon, great names with unusual treasures. The principle is simple: click to inspire you, discover to travel!
Today, about 15 startups support the movement, while the idea generator travels, counts more than 1,400 points of interest to discover in France. Facebook page For his part, he portrays a real community: with more than 4,800 fans at the moment, Explore la France signs the beginning of a beautiful adventure at the national echo.
A collaborative tool within the reach of all
First of all solidarity, the idea-generator Explore France calls the tourist offices to highlight their territory. Indeed, as a part of it, tourist institutions have the opportunity to propose other places to discover! Directly accessible from the platform via the “Add a missing tourist point” page, the contribution is especially for users of the site who can also offer missing places or feed the base of places of interest.
And the 100-kilometre radius in all this?
Since 11 May and in order to meet the conditions of deconfinement, Explore France has set up a geolocation filter. The goal? Give you ideas of territories and places to discover, while respecting the perimeter of 100 kilometers around the home without restriction (flying, according to the measure imposed by the Government). To you, the wonders of your department and region!
