Each month, you can also participate in a Half Moon Party. As its name suggests, they take place when the moon is half full, or about 15 days after a Full Moon Party. Less crowded and extended on the beach, these parties are nevertheless a good option if you cannot participate in a Full Moon Party.
How do I access the Full Moon Party?
As mentioned earlier, the Full Moon Party in Ko Pha Ngan takes place southeast of the island on the Haad Rin peninsula. You will have to go to this place to participate in this famous party.
First, if you are not yet on the island of Ko Pha Ngan, you will obviously have to join it. For example, you can fly to Ko Samui, the most famous neighbor of Ko Phangan. A ferry will then easily take you to the latter.
Second, you will have to reach the city of Haad Rin where the Full Moon Party takes place. It's only 20 minutes by car the arrival port of the ferry. You can take a taxi on site or rent a scooter to reach the beach of the Full Moon Party.
Note that it is possible to take a boat or ferry directly from Koh Samui For the Full Moon Party. We recommend that you prefer this option if you do not want to visit Ko Pha Ngan.
Where to park near the Full Moon Party?
You can park your vehicle in the city of Haad Rin. However, we do not recommend you join the Full Moon Party in scooter or with any other motorized vehicle. Already, scooter flights are not so rare.
But above all, you are very likely to have an accident on your way back. There are many scooter accidents during Full Moon periods.
