Parking in the French capital: how to do it? Here are our best plans to find cheap car park in Paris!
The traffic and parking in Paris can become a real puzzle if you go there at peak times or during holidays. If you come by car and are unaware of the good places to park in Paris, you can risk degradation and at the same time contraventions. For this reason, the question of parking in Paris is as legitimate as that of housing. And as often, free parking spaces are very popular: paid parking, they are sometimes (very) expensive.
In Paris, you can park on the road, but parking is usually paid from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. (free on Sunday). Two tariff zones apply to park in Paris: 4 € per hour for arrondissements 1 to 11 and 2,40 € for arrondissements 12 to 20. And generally, parking is limited to 6 hours at the same location. Otherwise, you can choose to park in Paris in underground parking, open 7 days a week and 24 hours a day. Here is our mini-folder to find a cheap car park in Paris and park quietly to discover the city.
Parking in Paris: park in the street for free
The first idea that comes to mind: turn in the streets to find a free place not materialized by white strips and the "paying" mention on the ground. We wish you good courage because this "walk" can last for a long time without even finding any place that is liberating... Note that only 2.5% of parking spaces in Paris are free. France TV Info posted a very useful infographic to see where the cheap or even free parking places are located in Paris (see below). We learn that you can park without paying mainly in the woods of Boulogne and Vincennes. Another good plan for Parisians: the Fortifications alley, in the 16th arrondissement (Porte d’Auteuil): there are free places on both sides of the street.
Parking in Paris: paid parking
It is recommended to book your parking space in advance. This is the best way to get to Paris serenely without losing time to find a place. Many providers compare prices of parking lots. Finding cheap parking in Paris has never been so simple! Just select the car park closest to your destination and/or cheapest and make the booking online according to your schedule. There is a reference price comparison on the market: Byclick , with 125 parking spaces from 1,60 €.
