Becoming one-day caregiver at the Beauval Zoo will allow you to share the exciting missions of the different areas of the park. You'll pass all morning close to the animals that populate this exceptional animal park. You will also be accompanied by Scientific mediator and d a mediator-career .
Activities and missions included preparation of meals or the different nourishments . At the end of this unforgettable experience, you will know everything about the operation of the Beauval Zoo and its trades.
The park offers two different activities depending on the period of the year: a spring/summer version, and two autumn/winter versions.
Note also that the Park offers a similar experience for juniors . Children between the ages of 10 and 17 can become one day caregivers at the Zoo de Beauval. Accompanied by scientific mediators, your children will learn more about animal care, animal welfare, medical training and the protection of the species.
Spring/summer version

This program is valid from 1 April to 30 September . It is available at the fare 220 € per person over 16 years . The activity lasts in total 4:15 . You will start the activity at 8h , at the entrance of the ZooParc where you will welcome the mediator and the caregiver.
In the course of the activity, you will learn more about the profession of caregiver at the Zoo de Beauval, animal care, and animal park. You will also visit the falconry of the park. You will then follow an initiation to falconry with a nozzle from Harris . Then you will go to the elephants building and help prepare their food.
They will also visit the building dedicated to the dromedaries and participate in the cleaning of their boxes. Finally, you will discover the backstage of the "orangs-outans / chimpanzees" sector. You will then prepare and distribute an enrichment to orang-outans. Then you'll feed the gorillas greenhouse rays. To 12.15 p.m. , you will finally be accompanied at the entrance of the park, with precious memories.
Autumn/Winter version

In the fall/winter, two programs are available. They are available at the fare 195€ per person.
The usual program from 1 to 31 October
Activity begins 7:45 by a reception with presentation of the Beauval Zoo by your two companions. You will then go to the area of African turtles, where you will participate in their feeding.
You will then go to discover the African savannah, with a visit to the building, a presentation of the species and a participation in the cleaning.
Your companions will then feed you birds of the tropical greenhouse and small monkeys. Then you will help create and distribute an enrichment for orang-outans. You will finally feed the manchots before completing the activity to 12h .
The usual program from 1 November to 31 March
After the reception, your attendants will explain to you the profession of caregiver at the Zoo de Beauval as well as animal care. You will then visit the hippopotamus building. You will also help in preparing their food and cleaning.
The participants will then observe and feed the giant turtles of the equatorial dome. Then you will participate in the creation and distribution of an enrichment for the samiris. The one-day caregivers will finally end with a feeding of the manchots.

What do I need or can take during the activity?
Plan adapted dress to work with animals. If possible comfortable clothes, that you do not fear salir, as well as boots.
You can also take your camera . However, your material is under your responsibility.
What are any restrictions?
This one-day caregiver activity at the Beauval Zoo requires that you be able to easily move into spaces with sometimes difficult access. A good physical condition is thus indispensable. The activity is also strongly discouraged from pregnant women and immunocompromised persons.
What rules or instructions do I have to respect?
Before your purchase or your arrival, do not miss to consult safety instructions and rules of procedure ZooParc de Beauval. Your attendants will also give you the instructions to follow. If you do not respect them, the activity can be interrupted, without refund.
