The amateurs of samurai films know it very well but if you are not part of these aficionados of katana, there is a place in Japan, in Arashiyama (or Mont Arashi, the Mountain of the Tempest) that you should not miss, namely the famous bamboo forest. famous bamboo forest participates in this magic and disorder: to access this unique place, you are recommended to go by train from Kyoto to Arashiyma, the journey lasts only 15 minutes at the most.

Once you arrive on site, you only have to follow the signs that indicate the path: just 10 minutes walk and you enter a fantastic universe, presqu’irréel with this non-standard forest whose bamboos are more than 30 meters high for some.

You are sure to have the breath cut by discovering this forest because the beauty that emerges from it, but also the serenity, the calm will transport you out of time.

A spiritual walk

Even if this forest seems frequented by many tourists, you will know long moments of silence that will be like magical breaks in your day or Japanese stay.

Far from the tumult of cities, the bamboo forest of Arashiyama is a haven of peace a place to relax. Between the tender green of the foliage (notably during the spring), the few solar lights that dare to venture between the bamboo and come to lay strange drawings on the ground, with a freshness all new that takes hold of you, it is a true dive that you will perform in the midst of this bamboo not like others.

Open-air magic

In the spring, cherry trees are in bloom and in autumn, the game of lights in trees and bamboo is just splendid.

It should be noted that in December, the forest puts its most beautiful surroundings on the occasion of the Hanatoro Festival, creating a supernatural atmosphere who will delight everyone. If you stand in the middle of the Arashiyama Forest and follow the dizzying lines of the bamboo that rise up to the sky, you will feel a unique feeling that comes from as many colors as shades. An extraordinary emotion that is not found in any other forest.

Between serenity, relaxation, wonder, come and "lose" yourself in an elegant, aesthetic place whose aura radiates miles in the round.
