Don't miss visiting Granada, Sierra Nevada, the villages of Alpujarras, Seville, Cordoba, Ronda and the white villages, Cadiz, Gibraltar, Doñana National Park, Caminito del Rey the beaches of the seaside resorts between Almería and Malagá , the protected area of Cabo de Gata, the small villages typical of Andalusia... There is so much to see that you will have to optimise your journey, especially that it logically depends on the duration of the road trip. Andalusia is the second largest region in Spain with 87,268 km2, the equivalent of 9 times the Gironde! So if you come for a week, for fifteen days or for a month, your itineraries to visit Andalusia in camping-car will undoubtedly be different. For a week, just one part of Andalusia, for example Seville, Huelva, Doñana National Park and Cadiz.
Here are our route ideas:
- Seville (Cathedral and Alcazar, Casa de Pilatos, Metropol Parasol, tapas, flamenco concerts, Place d’Espagne, barrio de Santa Cruz), Cordoba (Juderia, Mezquita, tendilla plaza, Guadalquivir docks, Alcazar de los Reyes Cristianos), Ronda (the arenas, the Mondragon Palace, the Almocabar Gate, the Plaza del Socorro), white villages (Zahara de la Sierra, Arcos de la Frontera), Cadiz and Doñana National Park,
- Grenada (Alhambra, the Sierra Nevada, the gardens of the Generalife, the Nasrid Palaces, the Albaycín, the caves of San Nicolas and San Miguel Alto), Málaga and the beaches of the Costa del Sol, Gibraltar (the rock of Upper Rock, the caves of Saint Michael, the castle of the Moors), the villages of Alpujarras, the Caminito del Rey,
- Natural park Sierras de Cazoría, the natural park of the Sierra de Andújar, Jaén, hiking in the desert Tabernas, white villages hiking (Los Tres Barrios), the Cerro del Fraile, the reserve Cabo de Gata.
These routes are of course adapted to the duration of the road trip. They are too ambitious to visit Andalusia in motorhomes in 7 days, and perhaps too limited for a stay of one month or more.

Motorways in Andalusia: what price for your camper category?
With the return of the country to democracy after the death of Franco (1975) and integration into the European Union (1986), the country has an excellent road and highway network. Many new roads have been built near the old ones. As a result, there are often three routes for the same route. The old historic road, the “post-franquist” road, and l’autovía (A). Paid highways (PAs) are often charged, as borrowed by weights and tourists.
The good news is that to visit Andalusia by camping-car or by fitted van, you will only have four sections of paid highways:
- AP-4 : Highway south Seville-Jeres de la Frontera-Cadix,
- AP-7 : Highway of the Mediterranean Vera-Fuengirola-Guadiaro,
- AP-41 : Madrid Highway in Cordoba,
- AP-46 : Highway of Malaga, Alto de las Pedrizas-Malaga.
To pay for the motorway toll, a ticket portico will be taken at the entrance and the amount corresponding to the distance travelled (as in France) will be paid to the exit toll station. Camping-cars must pay the rate in the class Pesados 1.
