What budget to eat in Krakow?

Polish specialties are delicious and numerous (pierogis, Żurek, chicken Kurczak, etc...) and you will have the opportunity to taste them for cheap! It is not surprising to find you with a huge plate and pay 5 or 6€ with your drink. I will advise you to avoid restaurants in the central square and even those where you are tended a menu when you pass in front. To eat well at reasonable prices, the Kazimierz district or the small streets around the centre are good places. Prices for food in Krakow :

Street Food (zapiekanka, kebab, etc...) : from 1.5 to 3€

Fast Food : 3,80€

Economic restaurant : 4-8€ approximately

Standard restaurant : 10-12€ about

Chic restaurant : 20€ and more

Some price ideas in Krakow

Conseil pour faire le change : don’t change your money anywhere! I advise you to change 5 or 10€ to the airport when arriving so that you can pay the bus or train that will take you to the Central Station of Krakow.

Then here are two addresses where exchange rate is the best in Krakow : the Kantor Exchange opposite the Carrefour, on the top floor of Galeria Krakowska (the station is glued to this shopping centre). And the exchange offices (kantor) of the Sławkowska Street in the northwest corner of the Rynek Główny. The rate must always be around 4.15 zl for 1€. If it is at 3.15, it is a scam simply.
