Hours of the Office Gallery
- đź•› The Office Gallery is open from Tuesday to Sunday from 8.15am to 6:50pm. It is closed on Mondays, December 25 and January 1. The closure begins at 6:35 p.m. and the ticket office closes at 6:05 p.m. Good to know. : it is advisable to book at least one day in advance if you want to visit the museum on Saturday or holidays.

đź“Ť The Galerie des Offices is located in the heart of Florence, between Palazzo Vecchio and the Arno, at the following address: Piazzale degli Uffizi, 6, 50122 Firenze FI.
By bus : you can take the C3 and C4 lines to the Ponte Vecchio stop, but the most convenient thing remains to take the C1 line to the Galleria Degli Uffizi stop.

History of the Gallery of Offices in Florence

Built by Giorgio Vasari in the 16th century with the initiative of Cosme I of Tuscany (1519-1574), then the first Grand Duke of Tuscany, and completed by Bernardo Buontalenti and Alfonso Parigi , the Gallery of Offices in Florence has nothing but its architecture, attracted curiosities. Indeed its architectural design is considered innovative, with its cortile (a large paved street, now called piazzale des Offices) lying in the shape of U, and its 8,000m2.
A true witness of the greatness of this time, the Gallery originally welcomed the administrative offices of the Medici family and its rich private collection. It is also crossed by the mysterious Corridor of Vasari, which is also accessible from the Palazzo Vecchio! This one kilometre corridor allowed the Medici to go and come safely between the Office Gallery, the Palazzo Vecchio and the Palazzo Pitti .
