Since its appearance on the market in 2010, electronic cigarettes have been successful in France and many other countries. It must be said that it quickly became a much less expensive alternative for smokers.
It was estimated in 2017 that 700,000 people would have stopped tobacco in France thanks to the use of electronic cigarettes!
However, the regulations concerning the use of vapora vary depending on the country in which one goes. This is why it is important to learn when you want to travel with your electronic cigarette. They tell you everything here!

Electronic cigarette is a device that produces steam. This is what clearly distinguishes it from tobacco, which produces smoke. Also known as a vapor or e-cigarette, it works thanks to an electric system that allows to inhale an e-liquid, often flavored.
Indeed, one of the advantages of electronic cigarettes is the choice of steam taste. And with the rise of e-cigarettes, users can now choose from hundreds of flavors!
The steam that is inhaled can thus recall the classic tobacco taste, raspberry, chocolate or... CBD! Yes, you read well, thanks to the electronic cigarette, we can now travel with CBD .
Careful still : it is essential to learn about the legislation of the country in which you go when you travel with your electronic cigarette.
Countries where use is strictly prohibited

As you are going to see, there are still many countries that prohibit the use of vapour in their territory. To help you travel serenely with your electronic cigarette, we classified all these countries by geographic area.
In Africa

- Gambia: the Gambian government has chosen to classify vaporists as "electronic distribution system of nicotine". Therefore, it is formally prohibited to use or travel with its electronic cigarette in Gambia.
- Mauritius: the sale and distribution of electronic cigarettes are prohibited in Mauritius. Also, you do not have the right to use a vapotter in all public places on the island!
- Seychelles: a tobacco control law prohibits the importation and sale of e-cigarettes on the island.
- Uganda: the sale, import or manufacture of electronic cigarettes (containing nicotine or not) are strictly prohibited in Uganda.
Central and North America

- United States: It is prohibited to vaporize in public places of certain States. Other States prohibit the marketing of flavoured e-liquids. Learn more about the legislation in force before leaving!
- Mexico: A law prohibits the sale, marketing and manufacturing of products imitating tobacco. This Act applies to electronic cigarettes containing nicotine. Similarly, you are not allowed to vaporize in public places.
- Nicaragua: The anti-tobacco law prohibits the sale, import and manufacture of objects imitating tobacco.
- Panama: the authorities of Panama decided to classify electronic cigarettes as "smoking products". The sale, import and use of these products (with or without nicotine) are therefore prohibited throughout the country.
In South America

- Argentina: a decree classifies electronic cigarettes as "product of tobacco". It is therefore forbidden to sell, distribute and import these products in Argentine territory. It will be automatically confiscated at the airport if you do not follow these rules.
- Brazil: You must follow the same rules as in Argentina in Brazil.
- Colombia: The Colombian anti-tobacco law classifies vaporous as a tobacco imitation product. Thus, the sale and marketing of these products is prohibited.
- Uruguay: a decree prohibits the sale, promotion and importation of electronic cigarettes. Also, you can't go to all public places in the country!
In Asia

- Brunei Darussalam: electronic cigarettes are classified as a tobacco imitation product in this country. It is therefore formally forbidden to sell or import a vapotter to Brunei Darussalam!
- Cambodia: a circular prohibits the sale, importation and use of an electronic cigarette in Cambodian territory.
- India: India has decided to prohibit the use of electronic cigarettes to improve public health. The import, production and sale of vaporists are therefore prohibited throughout the country.
- Japan: Electronic cigarettes containing nicotine are classified as drugs, so a medical prescription is required to vaporize these products in Japan. Thus, you can only vaporize if your e-liquids do not contain nicotine and you will have to go to the "smoker zones", installed everywhere in the streets.
- Nepal: It is strictly forbidden to use an electronic cigarette in public places and in transport.
- Philippines: a decree completely prohibits the use of electronic cigarettes in public places.
- Singapore: electronic cigarettes are classified by tobacco law as tobacco imitation products. It is therefore formally prohibited to sell, import, distribute or use an e-cigarette in the territory of Singapore.
- Thailand: it is better not to travel with its electronic cigarette in Thailand. Electronic cigarettes are prohibited under several regulatory mechanisms. Also know that smoking is prohibited or vaporized in public spaces, there are smoking areas to respect!
- Timor-Leste: a decree prohibits the sale and importation of e-cigarettes on the territory. Similarly, it is prohibited to vaporize in certain public places.
- Vietnam: smoking is strictly prohibited in public areas and public transport, with the exception of designated smoking areas.
Europe

- Denmark: it is one of the most rigid European countries with electronic cigarettes! They are regulated as drugs. The e-liquids containing nicotine are prohibited as well as all liquids with flavours other than tobacco and menthol. He is therefore not advised to travel with his electronic cigarette in Denmark!
- Norway: the Norwegian authorities prohibit the sale and importation of e-cigarettes on the territory. Staggers containing nicotine are classified as medications. Thus, you must have a medical order to travel with your electronic cigarette in Norway. Likewise, it is forbidden to vaporize in all public places of the country.
- Czech Republic: It is forbidden to vaporize in all public places of the country. In addition, you cannot take e-liquids with you whose nicotine content is equal to or greater than 20 mg/mL. Other restrictions also apply to the volume of electronic cigarette recharges (prohibition to have more than 10 ml of recharges).
- Turkey: the sale and importation of electronic cigarettes are strictly prohibited in Turkey. It is also forbidden to vaporize throughout the country, whether in public or private places. It is therefore highly recommended to travel with its electronic cigarette in Turkey!
In the Middle East

- Kuwait: the country prohibits the use and marketing of electronic cigarettes following a decision of the Ministers of Health of the Gulf countries.
- Lebanon: If you want to travel with your electronic cigarette in Lebanon, know that a decision prohibits the trade and import of all types of electronic cigarettes. It is also forbidden to vaporize in public places.
- Oman: the sale and marketing of e-cigarettes are strictly prohibited in the country. Thus, it is formally not advisable to use its electronic cigarette in Oman, sanctions can be severe!
- Qatar: The sale of equipment and e-liquid is prohibited in Qatar. Similarly, any person returning to the territory does not have the right to bring an electronic cigarette. If you take one, it will be automatically confiscated.
In Oceania

- Australia: in the country of kangaroos, the sale and marketing of electronic cigarettes containing nicotine are prohibited. A doctor's order will then be required to import these e-liquids into Australia. Only electronic cigarettes without nicotine are currently allowed!
Good to know.
If you do not comply with the above rules, you are subject to sanctions. They can go from the simple fine to the confiscation of your electronic cigarette to prison sentences in some countries. You're warned!
