How to get from Treviso Airport to the centre of Venice? Several bus shuttles allow you to reach Venice for about 12€ in less than 45 minutes.
When you booked your flight to Venice , you have chosen the Ryanair option which is the only company that serves Venice (or rather Trévise) from France and Belgium.
Despite an economy on your plane ticket, the only drawback you will have to face will be to transfer from Treviso Airport to Venice. If your trip costs a little more than one transfer from Venice main airport , it is above all the duration of the transfer that you will need to consider, since it is about 30 to 45 minutes.
Transfer by bus from Treviso Airport to Venice
Between Treviso Airport and Venice, there are fewer public transport opportunities, which has the advantage of being simpler to find the cheapest. It is simply the bus that will take you from Antonio Canova Airport from Treviso to Venice. Three companies offer their service upon arrival:
Barzi Bus Service The private company Barzi Bus Service (+39 348 836 71 85); www.barziservice.com) operates a direct shuttle to Tronchetto parking in Venice , right next to Santa Lucia Station. You will then have a good 1/4 hour walk to Piazzale Roma, the historic core of the city. The prices are as follows: 12 € per trip and 22€ per round trip (value 10 days). The bus runs from 8am to 10:30pm, and there is 1 to 2 bus/hour. The journey takes a total of 40 min. You can buy your tickets on the bus or at the ticket counter in the arrival hall. Tickets purchased with Ryanair are not valid with Barzi Bus Service.
ATVO The bus company ATVO ( Azienda Trasporti Veneto Orientale ; www.atvo.it) also offers a service to Venice Mestre (continent) and Piazzale Roma in Venice. However, the route is a little longer because the bus runs a winding road. It takes 45 minutes to 1 hour. The price is 12 € per trip and 22€ per round trip (value 10 days). The company ATVO works in partnership with Ryanair, so it is with this bus that you will reach Venice if you book your ticket online at the same time as your flight. The bus is waiting in front of the airport terminal.
Transfer by bus + train from Treviso Airport to Venice
The ACTT company ( Azienda Consortile Trasporti Treviso ; www.actt.it) operates a bus line (n°6) that connects the airport of Treviso to the station of Treviso (1,30 € or 2,50 € if you buy it on the bus). The duration of the journey is 20 minutes, and the service runs from 6h to 22h30, with 1 to 3 buses per hour. You must then take a train from Treviso to the Santa Lucia train station in Venice. The price of the train ticket is 4€ most of the time.
