The island’s eponymous “capital” is not just an administrative centre, on the contrary. Krk has preserved its walls of the past, which form a wall around the Croatian city. You will pass through one of the four gates to enter this medieval heritage, a must-see in Krk, and try to grasp its history.

Then let yourself be carried by your instincts and walk through the pedestrian streets: you will fall on a Franciscan monastery and a second Benedictine, as well as some old churches. With a little flair, you will find the “secret garden” of Volsonis. This oasis of peace will allow you to refresh yourself away from the hue.

They are housed in the various underground rooms, accessible to visitors. You will also see the remains of almost-fossilized bear bones, testifying to the oldness of the site.
