When street art wanders the streets of Paris
Street art has been considered a contemporary art movement since 1960, and is often associated only with graffiti. Only, street art , it is also of the demand, the stencil, the stickers, finally all forms of art made in the street. Far from museums and art galleries, urban creations are seen by a lot of people.
Despite the ephemeral side of the works, many of them are or have been artistic works in their own right but also, sometimes, tourist attractions... In particular, we think about Five Pointz , considered to be the “Graffiti Mecca” this must-see place, located in Queens in New York, was the landmark of street art lovers for years until the night of November 2013, where all works were covered with white paint!
There are several places like this one, still indemnified, around the world. But today we will focus on a selection of the 10 most beautiful street art works in Paris!
1. Portraits of women in the heart of the Gare du Nord

Following a project of metamorphosis of the Gare du Nord, Spanish artist Btoy was called by the Quai 36 team to bring a colorful and vibrant touch to the basement of the Gare. With portraits of women from the world, the artist gave a dynamic whip to his locals! Beautiful!
2. The works of Charles Leval

Through ever more original works than others, Charles Leval, alias Levalet, launches messages full of hope and poetry! Always full of humour, sensitivity and in perfect harmony with the urban environment, his works blend perfectly in the decor for the greatest pleasure of passers-by!
3. Portrait of the artist Hopare in the marsh

Visible rue Champon in the 3 ème Arrondissement, the enchanting work of the young artist Hopare was performed following an interview given to Radio Marais. Following this interview, the talented Hopare left as a trace of his passage on the street, a work that fits in a project called “The Street has Charm”! We can only agree against the captivating look of this young woman!

Another captivating portrait at the turn of a street in the 13 e District! Directed by the artist Christian Guemy alias C215, the colourful work is visible on the avenue Choisy!
5. Martin Parker's Banksters Project

Martin Parker’s works are more original in a movement called Urban Hacking Actions. The idea of diverting a few French Bankers signs turns out daring and bold knowing that the "piracy" can sometimes take the whole night! You can imagine the head that employees should do by discovering their new business at the opening hour!
6. Installation of Félice Varini at the Grand Palais

You'd think of a superchery at first glance! The incredible work of Swiss artist Félice Varini is nevertheless well-known in the decor! A background work, perspective and an optical effect succeeds! Extraordinary!
7. Mr. Chat by Thoma Vuille

Do you know mother Michel who lost her cat? Well, it's time to leave this old French comptine aside and meet the "Mr. Chat" of Thoma Vuille. Present everywhere in the French capital, this small yellow cat with a maliceful look is known in particular to always look at a huge smile! If you did not know this artist, open your eyes, Mr. Chat occupies a little more than 80 Parisian walls but it is also found beyond the French borders...
8. The Art Bridge

The lovers, who came to hide their love on the most romantic grilles of the capital’s bridges, are now faced with street art panels over 100 meters long! Created to avoid all the security concerns of the weight of the thousands of padlocks, the works were installed in the middle of the year and should be present on the bridge of the arts until this Fall. These frescoes leave a lot of people perplexed, but never the Pont des Arts will have her name as well!
9. The Giant Tricot of a Metro Station

Although this work is no longer relevant, it was probably one of the most important works of the capital in 2015. The work of Karen Kingerhut is as beautiful on the background as on the form. It is the result of collaborative work. Made with the help of several small volunteer hands, this giant and multicolored knit had invaded the resort “Lilas Town Hall” on May 6th!
10. Tribute to Charlie Hebdo

Another highlight of this year 2015 and not least, the attacks of January 7, 2015. Shortly after this tragic day, several artists from Street art paid tribute to Charlie Hebdo around the world, especially in Paris. A good way to pay tribute to the victims with a poignant message, "the pen against arms".
