1. The Cross of Nivolet from the Sire

To get in the leg, this hiking route starts from the Parking Le Sire near the Féclaz. Follow the signposting the Cross of Nivolet: you are already at the chalet of Sire after a steep climb. Then follow the cliff to the Nivolet refuge and finally reach the Nivolet Cross.

A spectacular panorama acts as a reward during this hike in the massif of the Bauges. The Epine massif, the Chartreuse and Chambéry can be contemplated as you wish. The course can take place from spring to autumn without major difficulties.

The Petit and the Grand Taillefer are two tops of the Belledonne chain. This hike in the massif of the Bauges aims to make you discover them. Go to Combe Oursière stele on the D114E departmental road to access the route. This one will lead you to the Pas de la Mine along the pretty ridge of Brouffier.

Forty minutes later, the Little Taillefer is in sight! Mount in the Gravelles to reach the summit of the Grand Taillefer where the statue of Saint-Éloi is erected. ♪ 2 857 meters above sea level offer a splendid view of the Mont Blanc , the peaks of the Writers and the Aiguilles d’Arves to the east.

To make this hike in the massif of the Bauges, direction the parking lot of the hamlet of Cul du Bois. Follow the pasture path to the forest to pass under the Dent des Portes. You then leave in the direction of the ridge overlooking the chalets of Chardonnet and the Gardes.

It all starts at the valley of Bellevaux. From the car park of the convent, a small forest road will lead you to the oratory in a sunny clearing. You will follow the Arclusaz stream, which crosses to guerrillas: ideal to refresh your legs or picnic.

Continue along the path towards the pass: the panorama is fantastic especially on Mount Pécloz. You will have the opportunity to discover the Notre Dame de Bellevaux chapel during your return. This hike in the massif of the Bauges starts at the parking lot of the town of Aillon-le-Vieux. The path follows a gradual rise in the forest to a small lake.
