1. Source of Ficaghola

From Corte, this 7.7-kilometre trail leads you to the Ficaghjola Source. Easy and accessible to all, it extends in the Regional Natural Park of Corsica and takes you to the Tavignano valley. It is therefore a beautiful introduction to the nature of Haute-Corse . You will start your hike at the end of St. Joseph's Street and then plunge into rich vegetation.

Along the water, you will enjoy spectacular views of the gorges and the summits that enclose them. During the summer you can even swim in the charming pools of Tavignano!

Dive into the Tavignano Gorges with this beautiful hike! Walk of medium difficulty, it spreads over 12 kilometers and leads you through the Tavignano valley. Starting from the Citadel of Corte, you will have to follow the path indicated by the Mare panels in Northern Mare.

You will then evolve in the middle of the wild gorges of the river, with small climbs sometimes steeped. Once you arrive at the Russulinu Bridge, you will find the charming natural swimming pools where you can swim during the beautiful season.

3. L’Arche de Corte

This one-day hike will lead you to one of the wonders of the Regional Natural Park of Corsica: the Arch of Corte. For this adventure, you will start at the end of St.Joseph Street in Corte. The path is very steep, with more than 1,000 meters of elevation. On the way, you will obviously contemplate the sublime natural arch.

From the latter you will enjoy an incredible view of Corte and the Tavignano valley. During this loop, you will also pass through the Bergeries of Padule and Pasturicciola on the foothills of the Pinerole.

4. The Lakes of Melu and Capitellu

You want to hike in Corte, but don't know which one to choose? This superb walk to the Melo and Capitello lakes is an ideal option! Unlike previous ones, the departure is at the Bergeries de Grotelle. The course is very well marked and quite accessible, except for small difficult passages equipped with chains.

You will evolve in the middle of the mountains and follow the Restonica course. The first lake you will reach will be the Melo, a beautiful mountain lake surrounded by rocks. The climb to Capitello Lake is then more arduous, but you will face another wonder of the region, nestled in a beautiful rocky setting.

5. La Chapelle Sant Eliseu

This beautiful buckle starts in Santo-Pietro-di-Venaco near its church. This beautiful mountain path passes through several shepherdies and enjambs Misongno Creek. After a few climbs, you will reach the very charming chapel of Sant’Eliseo at 1,555 meters above sea level.

You will then enjoy beautiful views of the mountain and the surrounding nature. For the descent, it is done by another side of the mountain. You will thus make a loop with this superb hike around Corte and enjoy beautiful varied landscapes.

6. La Pointe du Corbeau

This charming hike in Corte begins near the Oratory of Saint-Antoine. It will lead you to Punta di u Corbu. The beginning of the path is thus quite abrupt. You will evolve in the middle of the maquis, with cists and old oaks.

At the top you will enjoy a breathtaking view of Corte and the valley. For the descent you can go back on your steps or take the road to Calvary before joining Corte.

Charming hiking to make in Corte, the trail will lead you through the famous Tavignano valley. The path begins at the end of St. Joseph's Street. You will then take the direction of the Ficaghjola Source and the Cucchinu Source.

On the way, you will enjoy spectacular views of the gorges and cliffs of the summits. You will also pass through the beautiful lariccio pine forest of Tavignano's integral biological reserve.

8. Punta di Zurmulu

Starting at the Corte train station, this hike will take you to the top of Punta di Zurmulu. The Restonica and the Tavignanu will be engrossed and will pass in front of an old fortified square, now the Musée de la Corse. You will then evolve through various landscapes: oak forest, varied maquis, terraces, laricci forest and maritime pines.

On the way and at the top you will enjoy beautiful views of the Tavignanu valley and the Restonica, on Corte and even on the Tyrrhenian Sea! Although short enough, this hike is very sporty, especially on the end.

9. Lake Ninu

Lake Ninu is a superb hike around Corte. The departure is at the Forest House of Popaghja, located on the road between Col de Verggio and Albertacce. You will walk along the Vallon de Colga and pass through the shepherdie of Colga. After a rough rocky passage, you will reach the beautiful lake of Nino. All up there, you will enjoy stunning views of the Cintu massif, the Paglia Orba and even the Gulf of Porto !

The courageous will then be able to reach the Manganu refuge for a mountain hike by stages or even the Séga refuge located on the GR20 .

10. Monte Rotondo
