Earth has tens of thousands of more or less important rivers for humanity. But what are the longest rivers in the world?
With more than 1,300 billion km3 of this precious liquid circulating on its surface the Earth is mostly made of water. Water that junches its croute through the oceans overlooking the seas. These are subdivided into rivers and rivers.
But what are the longest rivers in the world? Here's our top 10!
1. The Amazon – Brazil
The history of the Amazon River is closely linked to that of Brazil. And because of this 6,992 km long watercourse, the first longest river in the world is also one of the most important for the sustainability of Brazilian agriculture.
Apart from Brazil, the Amazon is shared by the Peru Bolivia, Bolivia Colombia , Ecuador, Venezuela and French Guiana. Finally know that this is the first river in the world in terms of water flow.
2. The Nile – Egypt
The longest river in Africa, the Nile is also the second longest in the world with an estimated length of 6,853 km. If the majority of its area is located in Egypt, the Nile supplies water to Tanzania, Uganda, Rwanda and Burundi. 5. Ienisseï – Russian Federation
The Russian Federation houses an incalculable number of rivers. Some who have not yet been discovered by Man. The Ienissei in the north of the country is the fifth longest river in the world. This river is incidentally the third longest of the northern hemisphere.
Yenisei is 5,539 km long and is shared by Russia (97 per cent) and Mongolia (3 per cent).

With an estimated length of 5,464 km, the Yellow River is the second longest river in China and Asia after Yangtze and the fourth longest river in the northern hemisphere.
7. The River Ob – Russian Federation
The Ob is the second longest river in Russia with an estimated length of 5,410 km. It is also the fifth longest river in the northern hemisphere.
As a reminder, Ob is shared by Russia, Kazakhstan, China and Mongolia. However, the largest part of his bed is in Tsarian soil.
8. Congo – Congo
Africa is full of wonders, including the Congo River. Long 4,700 km, this is the second longest river in Africa, the ninth longest river in the world and the fourth longest of the southern hemisphere. In addition, the Congo River is the third in the world in terms of water flow.
