France now has the third largest gold stock in the world

In six months, Russia bought 54 tons of gold and its reserves are now more important than China. According to analysts, this is how the Russian economy reduces its dependence on the dollar and the euro that constitute a large part of the country’s foreign exchange reserves.

You will notice that we are talking here tonne of gold . Gold is held by many central banks as a “value reserve” that maintains a relatively stable course, and is used to secure a transaction, credit agreement or establish a guarantee fund.

The gold course reached $1183 a ounce last month, the lowest value since last year’s June.
