Sölden ski resort offers a total of 144 km of slopes, spread over 40 tracks, half of which are blue slopes. For the other half, 60% are red tracks, and 40% are black tracks. This means that you can easily ski in Austria, regardless of your level! In addition, it should be noted that this resort also has 3.8 km of night ski trail and two snowparks.

The ski season in this resort starts on snow, often in September or October. It ends at the end of April or early June, depending on weather conditions.

Ischgl

The Ischgl ski resort is the most recent of the five proposed in this article. It was opened in Ischgl fifty years ago. Its highest peak is 2 872 metres above sea level.

This resort is ideal for skiing in Austria if you have an intermediate or advanced level. Indeed, it has 40 red tracks and 25 black tracks for only 20 blue tracks. They allow the station to offer a total of 239 kilometres of slip!

Lech Zürs

Of the five best ski resorts in Austria, this is the one with the most slopes. Indeed, there are a total of 224 tracks and three snowparks. These are mostly blue (43%) and red (45%). It is therefore an ideal ski resort for people starting this sport, or having an intermediate level. Of course, there are also black tracks, but they represent just 12% of the descents.

The highest peak of the station is 1,957 metres. In fact, the ski season is short, with an average of 120 days a year. Generally, the Kelchsau – SkiWelt station opens in early December and closes in the course of April.

Kitzbühel

Located in the same name city, Kitzbühel is the last of the top five ski resorts in Austria. It opened its doors 90 years earlier and has a concrete reputation! We know her as an international alpine ski circuit, whose most famous descend is the Streif. This is considered by many skiers as the most difficult track in the world!

The Kitzbühel estate extends over four separate areas that you can connect by shuttle. There are a total of 60 ski slopes, namely 25 blue, 27 red and 8 black. They total more than 179 km of slip, 4 km of which are dedicated to night skiing.

The ski season of this resort lasts an average of 150 days. It begins at the end of October and ends at the beginning of May. In addition, in the case of low snowfalls, 119 km of slopes are covered by snow cannons.
