Some people could easily spend their lives there. Irish people like to spend their afternoons in the afternoon whether it’s a week or a weekend without really looking at what they spend. They spend good time with friends drinking Guinness, beer or cider pints watching sports on TV under traditional Irish music.

In the past, the neighbourhood was measurable and dilapidated, intended to become a railway terminal. But this one was never built. Then the local authorities decided to abandon the plans and replace them with a cheap rented area, with shops, paved streets and a “culture of youth”. Houses closed to pubs, Temple Bar has not changed too much since.

What you will find here today are many restaurants, cafes and pubs, hostels and hotels , as well as small shops selling everything, from fishing gear to teddy fluts (leprechauns) to tattoo salons. But Temple Bar also has some interesting galleries and museums like the Irish Film Institute , Project Arts Centre and DESIGNYARD but also some theaters. They're definitely worth a visit. Most visitors however come to drink beer.
