When we are in Paris, we must admit that we rarely think of being able to easily devalue snowy trails. Yet mountain villages are not as far away as one might think. By train or car, about 20 stations are less than 5:30 am from the capital. A reasonable amount of time to enjoy the powder during a weekend. Vosges

Gérardmer

In the heart of the Vosges, Gérardmer is the nearest ski resort in Paris. With its twenty-one trails in the middle of the fir trees, homogeneous about the difficulty, the ski area offers breathtaking landscapes. Among these tracks are the longest of the Vosges, 2,900 metres.

Gérardmer is a perfect resort for families with children and has the Family Plus label since 2013. Finally, it is very close to the city of Gérardmer and the proximity of shops and restaurants is one more not to neglect.

The Bresse

La Bresse is a ski resort close to Paris that is also suitable for families. With thirty-four tracks, including a majority of blue or green, and many ski lifts, the station will satisfy small and large. It is also possible to cross-country skiing and snowshoe hikes.

One of the nice attractions of La Bresse is the Schlitte Mountain, a kind of Russian mountains in a sledge, an attraction neither too slow nor too fast to enjoy the passage!

It is possible to do many Nordic activities such as cross-country skiing, snowshoes but also, quite rare to be reported, sled dog rides!

Located in the heart of the Massif Central, the two resorts share the ski area of the Grand Sancy and are two family resorts, despite an important presence of difficult trails.

Composed of twenty-seven tracks for a total of 43km, which are added to two snowparks and many ski lifts, there is something to delight everyone. Also the Mont-Dore resort offering a beautiful field off track for experienced skiers.

Thanks to its large ski area Paradiski, Les Arcs is a ski resort close to Paris that will delight everyone. With no less than one hundred and twenty-three tracks distributed in a homogeneous way, we must say that there is something to do! Not to mention the large number of mechanical lifts.

In the Arcs, there are completely free “first glide” areas to start skiing. Once the initiation is made, it is possible to borrow the cable car to devalue the “first turns” space composed of green tracks. A ski resort close to Paris ideal for beginners!

Saint-Gervais Mont-Blanc

If it is not necessarily the most accessible of all, Saint-Gervais Mont-Blanc has the advantage of offering a 225km ski resort, including a hundred and eighty slopes, half of which are black and red. A bucket for good skiers.

Also there are plethora of ski lifts and the landscapes are superb, with of course the Mont Blanc in a point of pride.

Grand-Bornand

Authentic village of the Aravis chain, Le Grand-Bornand pleases all lovers of traditional mountain architecture. Here, only wooden chalets and small residences, no big buildings!

The ski area of 90km for forty-six slopes, rather blue and green, is magnificent and takes full view, away from the Parisian tumult. It is also the commune of origin of the reblochon, what to treat you after a day on the slopes!

The Sybelles
