The Gorges du Tarn
Canyon dug between the Causse Méjean and the Causse de Sauveterre – on horseback between the Lozère and the Aveyron between Florac and Millau -, the Gorges du Tarn are a link of 400 to 600 meters deep that the elements of nature (erosion, earthquakes) have dug, on a length of 53 kilometers in Quézac and Le Rozier. The source of the Tarn is on the plateau of Mount Lozère. The surrounding area is home to an important cavernous fauna, many species of molluscs, vultures, other birds and castors.
