Level: PD/TD- (very difficult/very difficult)

In the heart of the Black Causse, the chaos of Montpellier-le-Vieux (the largest in Europe) offers one of the best via ferrata in Aveyron. Chaos? What do you mean? Do not be afraid, this is a term denoting a rock formation created by erosion. Located near the beach Millau , the path passes through this amazing wilderness by beginning with an underground path. You will descend to -55 meters below ground!

Then the route rises sharply: several dizzy zip lines will give you the impression of flying over the Grand Causses. It is two routes that are available on site: one PD side (can be difficult) and another TD (very difficult). The first one is very pleasant and is suitable for families with children who will enjoy this playful route. The second requires great concentration and impeccable physical shape.

The average duration is 2h30 but it will obviously depend on your level... and the people who will accompany you!

Level: AD/D (very difficult/difficult)

Style: Sport

It is since May 2001 that making via ferrata in Aveyron in Baltuergues is possible for the general public. Think: it is necessary to equip the track, place ultra-solid metal elements and ensure optimal security for visitors! Located in the Gorges de la Truyère, in the north of Aveyron, it has since been a reference.

It has the particularity of forming a loop: the start will bring you down and you will go back gradually.. The total elevation is approximately 200 metres and the length of the course is 800 metres. The two routes offered are rather easy but take into account, for the Difficile route, the height. The track is very airy and can cause cold sweats!

In any case, you will appreciate the freshness of the place (the Truyère runs down) and the vivifying nature side.
