Level: hard enough

Duration of the course: 3 hours

Period to be preferred: May, June, July

Orgon stunts are one of the places where to make canyoning in the most famous Cevennes. This is largely due to the fact that the gardois site, exceptionally aesthetic, has been highlighted by the “Les carnets de l’Aventure” broadcast on France 2. Sorry about Antenne 2, at the time...

It has largely contributed to the development of this discipline by making it known to the general public. And it’s so much better, otherwise Orgon’s canyon might have stayed in the shade and you wouldn’t have had the opportunity to go through it. It measures almost two kilometers and consists of a series of waterfalls more or less reversing. It also includes some memorable slides such as the Icare slide which allows a nice jump in a pot.

This very sunny canyon is ideal in the early season, until early August. After this date, its flow rate is no longer sufficient to allow it to explode!

7. The Bramabiau Canyon

Level: difficult

Duration of the course: 3 hours

Period to be preferred: all summer

What a fabulous beauty! The nature around the Bramabiau Canyon is fantastic. It must be said that it is in the middle of the Cevennes National Park. The descent is very playful and not technical. However, regulations related to the preserved location limit the number of participants and groups. In general, the descent of Bramabiau is prohibited on Tuesday and Thursday.

Making canyoning in the Cevennes on this site is linking two separate sections. The first is similar to an aquatic hike while the second is more engaged. This is the last part that provides the most sensations: jumps, slides and reminders. Also, the water is hot enough and the sun, not embarrassed by sparse trees, is set. We recommend it to families with children or groups of novices who just want to have fun. It takes three hours to complete the course.
