The Morvan Natural Park has no highway on the 2,909 km2 of its territory. Nevertheless, you will be led to drive on large highways to access it. Notably the highway A6 , which runs along the park at its northern and eastern edge, between Auxerre and Chalon-sur-Saône.

Other information about driving in Morvan Natural Park
In other places, outside the highways, the lines of communication are free , and reassure yourself: the road network of Morvan is dense. It is made up of a molded canvas of departmental and communal roads, whose route is narrow and sinuous. In fact, these Burgundy roads will offer you beautiful views for your escapades.
Coming to the Morvan on a motorhome, we recommend you to be careful on the roads and consider the imposing vehicle gauge . Especially if you’re not accustomed to driving this type of gear. We recall an elementary rule to respect on the massifs and on the narrow roads: uphill, you have the priority . But put yourself on the lower side downhill when possible, and when the topography of the place makes the crossings difficult.
It is also advisable to adapt your speed in areas where visibility is lacking. Morvan's mid-mountain massifs require greater caution: do not roll, for example, faster than 30 km/h on small communal lanes to anticipate any obstacle (car or animal).
Finally, know that Morvan is a region where snow can fall in abundance in winter. Have absolutely snow tyres and/or chains snow so as not to risk any accident, or not to find yourself stuck (or still, not to endanger other motorists).
