Uncontournable to visit this region that some still place in South Brittany – one is not far from the Morbihan, in the historic Brittany – the city centre of La Baule is centred around the market. This is where the population began to grow at the end of the 19th century, especially thanks to the development of the railway, when the rich families of entrepreneurs and traders came to wet the toes in the bay.

In the center, enjoy the Place de la Victoire to stroll around, and wander in the avenues of the city market, a den for the premises. On Avenue Louis Lajarrige, there is also a producer market, twice a week, in the midst of many shops where to purchase.

But it is on Charles de Gaulle Avenue and along the boulevards Darlu and Hennecart that we find the largest concentration of shops, bars and restaurants in front of the sea, with the hotels where to stay in La Baule. Take a look at it: you can sleep a few steps from the centre, with a splendid view of the sea and the beach!
