Brno-Centre, the economic center

This neighborhood coincides with the territory of the former town of Brno. This part of the city is the administrative, economic and cultural centre of Brno. This neighborhood covers the following areas: Brno Ville (Město Brno), Vieux Brno (Staré Brno), Štýřice, Veveri, Stranice, – neighborhoods we recommend to stay. Outside the centre you will also find the districts of Kraví Hora, Žabovřesky or Jundrov, which are excellent for longer stays in the city of Brno.

Město Brno & Staré Brno, the historic centre

These two districts are the historic centre of the city. The architecture is old, and most old buildings and old houses are located here. You will find most monuments in this area, such as the Cathedral of Saint-Pierre-et-Saint-Paul (also known as Petrov) which dominates the city and faces the fortress of Spielberg (Špilberk). This area also features cosy cafés and excellent restaurants.

This city is very quiet and very secure, but these two neighborhoods can be noisy and misplaced at nightfall. Prefer the above-mentioned neighborhoods that are either close to the tourist and historical places, or located in very quiet and very pleasant neighborhoods to live.
