In which quarter house in Belfast?

Belfast, the capital of Northern Ireland, was home to a population of 33,871 in 2015 and 641,638 in the urban area. The city of Belfast played a major role in the industrialization and economic growth of the United Kingdom with the trade of linen, tobacco, and boats (the Titanic was built in Belfast). Introduced in history by the conflict between Catholic and Protestant, nationalist and republican, unionist and separatist, Belfast is today a city where he makes good living.

Crossed by the Lagan River, Belfast is located northeast of Northern Ireland in Ulster province. Belfast has been a major cultural boom since the early 2000s. Its historical, cultural and architectural heritage is abyssal and its neighbourhoods have many parks, gardens and forests. This is in which area to stay in Belfast, the capital of the north of Ireland.

Downtown Belfast

The centre of Belfast is an area in full bloom that never sleeps. The neighbourhood is built on the western shores of the Lagan River and has many shops, shopping center and of course Irish pubs. To shoppping, at Royal Avenue, a very busy area of day and night. Evening pubs fill up faster than the pints of beer Guiness or Kilkenny. Living in the city centre will be quite expensive and sound: fleeing if you want to stay in Belfast for cheap and quiet. Rather pleasant, however, if you like animation and shopping: the offer of accommodation is quite large.

Botanic Quarter

The Botanical Garden district houses many choices of accommodation, from the youth hostel to the comfort hotel, from 10 € to more than 100 € per night. Botanic, or Queen quarter is located between the Lagan River and the Queen’s University – Queen’s University, ranked as one of the most beautiful in the world – and the city’s botanical gardens. Social activity is groubling, it is one of the most living areas where to stay in Belfast: the paradise of pubs – for beer lovers – restaurants and a lung of greenery where to stroll through the beautiful days. The neighborhood is therefore logically popular with trendy young people and students, and is therefore animated day and night.

Titanic Quarter

As its name suggests, it is the district of the docks, where the famous ship was built to the tragic and funest fate: the Titanic. A former popular neighbourhood, Titanic Quarter is today a dynamic, modern area, very popular and frequented by all audiences. Located north of the city centre on the seafront, it houses the Titanic Museum and the series shooting studios Game of Thrones. Nightlife is however rather quiet. To sleep in Titanic Quarter, the accommodation will be expensive: from 80 € at the first price to over 250 € for the most luxurious apartments and hotels.
