TransAsia plane crash in Taiwan

This impressive video of the plane crash in Taiwan toured the web in 2015. It is an ATR 72-600 of the TransAsia company that crashed into a river after its takeoff from the capital Taipei. Of the 53 passengers and five crew members on board, fifteen people survived the crash. It was later revealed, thanks to the black boxes, that the crash had been due to a human error, the pilot having cut the aircraft’s only still operational engine while the other was deficient.

Crash of a tourism plane in Iceland

This spectacular video shows the crash of an aircraft that took place on 5 August 2013 in the city of Akureyri, located north of Iceland. Of the three occupants of the aircraft, only one person survived the accident. The cause of the aircraft crash remains unknown, and the speed at which the aircraft approached the runway is surprising.

Shoreham-by-Sea airplane crash (England)

Terrible day for this air meeting of Shoreham-by-Sea in southern England. On 22 August 2015, a collection hunter crashed violently on a road a few metres from the landing runway, hitting several vehicles. The accident killed about 20 people.

Voluntary air crash of a Boeing 727 in Mexico

For a purely scientific purpose, a team of researchers deliberately crushed a Boeing 727 on 27 April 2002 in the Mexican Desert of Sonora. Filmed by several TVs, the crash made it possible to draw a documentary on air safety. In a longer video, you can see the inside of the aircraft during the crash that, through sensors, models and cameras, has made it possible to understand what was actually happening during such an accident.
