1. Florence

If Florence is a well-known chorus of romantic destinations, it remains an essential classic for Valentine's Day. With an exceptional heritage, the capital of Tuscany has to rotate the heads. Flaner at the Galerie des Offices, hang a padlock at the Ponte Vecchio, walk in the Boboli Garden, admire the Statue of David in the Galleria Dell’accademia before finishing a dinner in Piazza Santa Croce under the effluves of the Tuscan wine... Florence does not lack charm to make capsize the hearts! The secret is to let yourself be carried.

2. Dubrovnik

The heat may not be at the rendezvous in February and the sun will not always be out, but Dubrovnik remains irresistible by all time. This little Croatian gem, known as the “adle of the Adriatic”, comes from a subtle blend between Latin and the Slav. The old town, surrounded by old ramparts and decorated with pink tiles, is a real post in which one loves to lose oneself. Unusual jewelry, pretty cafés with flowery gardens, palace and the uncontourable "Placa"... All the lights are green in Dubrovnik to make your Valentine's Day an unforgettable stay.

3. Santorini

Nearly cut volcanic paradise island in the world, located in the Cyclades in the middle of the Aegean Sea, Santorini naturally imposes itself as one of the most romantic places in the world. With its whitewashed houses made of lime, its blue-coated churches, and a breathtaking view of the sea from the top of the Caldeira de Fira, the pearl of Thira is very coveted for a trip to two. Take a turn on a donkey or jump on a boat to observe the surrounding flora and fauna, visit a vineyard or enjoy a relaxing moment in hot springs before strolling along the red and white beaches. In the evening, discover a small restaurant in which you can enjoy the authenticity of the places...

4. Istanbul

Certainly, Istanbul is not the quietest city for Valentine's Day weekend ... Exotic, frenetic and quite unique, Istanbul was elected "European Capital of Culture" in 2010. In addition to hosting the most beautiful mosques, and regrouping the chaotic bazaars, the city is full of a range of exhibitions, shows and galleries to explore. The enlivened life of Istanbul can discourage those looking for calm (which would be a shame, enjoy it!), so to take a little back and keep a “Romantic” atmosphere, it is possible for you to stay in Heybeliada, one of the three Princes Islands that are just a few minutes by ferry from the centre of Istanbul. On the island, no traffic! The best way to explore the beautiful Byzantine monasteries and Greek Orthodox churches whether it be a bicycle or a carriage.

5. Saint Sebastian

With more Michelin stars per capita than any other city, San Sebastián , on the north coast of Spain (close to the French border) is a paradise for gourmets, and is very pleasant to this period of the year (peu of tourists and a mild climate). Take an appetite with a walk along the Playa de la Concha sprinkled with palm trees, or on the streets of the old town, before enjoying yourself pintxos (the Basque tapas) in typical bars where the famous local dishes are cooked as mini works of art. For the occasion, you can choose a very chic restaurant among the wide choice of award-winning establishments.

Where to go for Valentine's Day? Seville is another good idea for Valentine's Day. The Andalusian capital explores the historical and cultural heritage, all under the rays of a generous sun. Why not offer a good tapas restaurant by tasting a glass of wine, flamenco concert – buleria and rumba – in a sound background? The colorful alleys, flowering patios, fountains, the architecture of the Muslim era will sublimate your weekend in love.

Going on the lookout for the Northern Lights and living in a snowy decor, maculated with white, is it tempting you? Lapland Swedish or Finland is an excellent destination where to go for Valentine’s Day: sled dog rides or snowmobiles in nature, in a wooden chalet whose candle is the only source of lighting, observe the northern lights! More than another, there is no more romantic than this destination! Get to Kittilä, Rovaniemi and head north of the Arctic Circle to see the Northern Lights! You can also try to fish under the ice, go looking for a reindeer, and even visit the famous Santa Claus village!

9. Corsica

Go for Valentine's Day on Island of Beauty will combine beautiful landscapes, snow on the heights and mild sun of the Mediterranean climate. Corsica is a romantic destination 365 days a year and it’s even better to go to two on February 14. Corsica has a protected natural environment, where one can appreciate the island rhythm, in appearance slow and peaceful of the cities (Calvi, Ajaccio, Sartène, Propriano, Bonifacio). Enjoy a car trip to see the Piana, Ajaccio and get off to the Bonifacio cliffs. The temperatures will remain fresh, but the sun will rise again in February to ensure a memorable stay.

10. Sarajevo

And yes, Sarajevo was slain by the war in the 1990s, but this city is very likely to make you want to go back. If Valentine’s Day matters less for you than the simple need to change air, then opt for Bosnia and Herzegovina. Slalom in the paved shopping streets of the Turkish quarter – Bascarsija -, enjoy the Muslim atmosphere reigning in this neighborhood, at the mercy of the mosques, then photograph your half on the famous Sebilj fountain. Sarajevo is a city to celebrate in the bars as much as spending the evening in love, in the small neighborhood restaurants before returning to the hotel.
