Located less than two hours away Tokyo , the public park is located in the city of Hitachinaka in the Ibaraki prefecture. Each month of April, the 190 hectares of green spaces are transformed into an ocean of blue flowers. The premises call it " Nemophila Harmony » because of the small blue flower Nemophile ( nemophila ).

If a trip to Hitachi in the spring is out of the question, don't worry... The park is always a visual regal , no matter what time of year you go there. The flower mat of the park is dressed in red and green during the summer and fall, it covers with a giant orange blanket. We also find beautiful violet colors.

So, what's the best way to see the park? Well, there's always a lot of people walking around, but if you're looking to see a bit of everything, there are bike paths and especially a big wheel that gives a good insight into the whole park.

How to get there from Tokyo? To go by car, here is the trip on a map from Tokyo:

You can also take the train: to Ueno Station (Tokyo) liveon from Katsuta Station with the JR Joban line (80 minutes), then take a bus from the Katsuta Station terminal (East entrance) and get off at the stop “Kaihin koen nishiguchi” (West entrance of the Seaside Park).

You can fly to Ibaraki Airport and take buses to the park.
