In which country is it good to expatrol?
A recent study by the site Expat Insider revealed that Ecuador remained the preferred destination of expatriates.
Compared to last year, nothing has really changed at the top. Ecuador is always the preferred country among expatriates in many ways, occupying the first step in the rankings. Mexico, third in 2014, climbed to second place this year. Malta, a country that has entered the ranking this year, is already taking third place. Luxembourg, second last year, only arrived in fifth position this year.
The 2015 InterNations Expat Insider survey classifies countries according to different factors such as quality of life, personal finances, work abroad and the ease to make friends. Again, Ecuador pleases expatriates in most categories. For example, 94% of foreigners living in the country are satisfied with the various leisure activities available, and 91% particularly appreciate the cost of living.
France still struggles to seduce foreign workers and loses 7 places compared to the previous edition (47th this year). For 44% of foreign workers surveyed, almost double the world average (24%), French was one of their major concerns before moving.
It should be noted that 36% of French expatriates leave their country in order to find better employment opportunities.
In 2014, the last three countries, out of 61, were Greece (59th), Saudi Arabia (60th), and Kuwait (61st). Kuwait remains the least popular destination and has 64th place this year. Greece is still in second place starting from the end, landing at 63rd place, while Saudi Arabia leaves the bottom of the ranking and gets replaced by Nigeria. The presence of India (55th), Brazil (57th) and India (55th) is noted in the bottom of the classification.
