Parking in Bordeaux : park in the street

To facilitate parking in the street, the capital of the Gironde has set up a system of areas to park, defined by the urban planning . There are two zones, A and B, which are subject to different rates. However, in both cases, the maximum parking time is two hours and the parking fee is paid from Monday to Saturday from 9am to 7pm except holidays.

For the price, count 1.30€ in zone A and 0.90€ in zone B for 30 minutes, 2,50€ in zone A and 1,80€ in zone B for 1h and 5€ in zone A and 3.60 in zone B for 2h. You can pay directly to the timer by currency, bank card or even by smartphone. But know that it is possible to park cheap in the streets of Bordeaux, and for cause: parking is free between 7pm and 9am from Monday to Saturday but also all day of Sunday and holidays. A useful plan for those who would like to save money.

Parking in Bordeaux : covered parking

In Bordeaux there are different cheaper car parks than parking on the street. In general, the cheapest car parks are located in the south of the city but you will also find them in the neighboring towns of Bordeaux, not to Pessac, Merignac or Bouliac. There is an average of 2.20€/hour, 27€/day and 98€/month.

Cheap car park in Bordeaux : car parks relay

Unlike many cities, the city of Bordeaux regularly encourages its inhabitants to use public transport. To highlight its network, the city offers relay parking on the outskirts, very well served by public transport to reach the city center.

For TBM subscription holders, it is a real good plan since parking in these parking spaces is included. You will only have to show your transport ticket in front of the ATM to enjoy this free parking. On the other hand, if you are not subscribed to TBM, the door will not be closed to you: in fact, you can buy a Tickarte, a ticket to 4,50€ the day with a round trip per passenger included in the ticket.

However, these parking spaces are not available 24 hours a day: they are usually open from 5 a.m. to 1 a.m., except Thursday, Friday and Saturday where these parking spaces remain open until 2 a.m. A real good plan for those looking for cheap parking in Bordeaux.
