As everywhere in Spain, there are very precise driving and parking rules in Bilbao. Indeed, it is the OTA – the Management of Circulation and Parking – which regulates the use of seats on the public road. In Bilbao, there are several machines in several strategic locations in the city to withdraw your ticket. On schedules, you will have to pay between 9am and 8pm, with an hour and a half free at noon.

The streets of Bilbao are divided into 12 geographic areas, which are distinguished by two colors that allow for easier identification of places where parking is regulated and maximum allowed time.

  • green area gives priority to the residents and is therefore more expensive for the others: count 0.52€ for 30 minutes, 1,27€ for 1 hour, 3,15€ for 2 hours, 6,15€ for 3 hours, 9,45€ for 4 hours and 13h for 5 hours. You can park there for up to 5 hours.
  • Blue zone gives priority to rotation and allows up to 2 hours maximum parking. In terms of prices, they are the same as in green areas.
