The Gorges de l’Hérault

L’Orb en canoë-kayak

Want to explore the west of Hérault in canoeing-kayak? Along the Orb River, cross the Regional Natural Park of the Haut Languedoc, with the Massif de l’Escandorgue to the east, the Black Mountain to the west and north, and the mountains of Faugères before entering the dickside plain. The 135-kilometre long river makes it possible to descend to Béziers, literally “green”, as they say. At the start of Poujol-sur-Orb, we pass the slide of Colombières, some rapids at the base of Tarassac with views of Mount Caroux, the gateways of Vieussan and Ceps, Roquebrun, Cessenon on Orb, Reals.
