The most popular: The banks of the Tage
This bike path, which is almost 20 km long and separated from the road, runs along the Tage and allows you to reach Santa Apolonia from Parque das Nacoes. The most relaxing: Cascais to Guincho Beach

Take the train towards Cascais , where begins a loop of 20 km of cycle track along the coast as well as impressive cliffs and passing through the pretty surf beach of Guincho. Joining this beach by bike is probably your best option considering that transportation is limited and that the few parking spaces are expensive. Moreover, the municipality of Cascais rents bikes for free, which will allow you to offer a day trip at a lower cost.

Climb with your bike on the ferry from Cais do Sodre to Cacilhas and join another cycle path along the coast and passing through charming sinner villages. Make a gourmet stopover in one of the small cafes or local restaurants. In high season, prepare to share the road with many other tourists; On the other hand, if you try the adventure in low season you will have the road to you and enjoy a more clementing temperature.

BiCas bikes
If you leave with a tight budget, you can rent a biCas bike for free during the day (8 :00 – 19 :00 in summer or 9 :00 – 16 :00 in winter), initiative of the municipality of Cascais. It is impossible to book them in advance, so it is advisable to go early in the morning. Also note that these bikes have no speed, no padlocks and that you will need to pass from helmets. You can rent these bikes at the railway station, the tourist office and the Casa da Guia. You will be asked for an ID.
