Visit of the city of Antsirabe in Madagascar
Antsirabe is a very popular tourist destination for Aboriginal people and visitors Madagascar . It is 2 hours’ drive from Antananarivo. For the inhabitants of the capital, spending a weekend is a way to visit the tourist attractions of the region while oxygenating.
Antsirabe has several tourist sites that have nothing to envy to those of other cities in Madagascar. Also known as the “city of water” is a beautiful city-village located about 200 km from the capital Malgache. National road No. 7 that connects the South Capital of the country through this agglomeration. The main assets of Antsirabe reside mainly on hot water sources which groan this volcanic region.
In the city center, majesticly thrones a century-old building with ancient architectures. It houses the very famous "hotel of the Baths". Nearby is a spa with a medical centre, a swimming pool and shower cabins. Physicians, physiotherapists and massagers offer a variety of services. A little lower, the hot waters from several points of sources form a true lake full of water jacinths and nenuphars. In the surrounding villages, mineral water geysers welcome tourists.

Thanks to its very mild climate, the first missionaries of the Lutheran church elected to live in Antsirabe. Today, their former homes (of beautiful villas of the colonial era) form a real residential area cossued and quiet very popular by foreign residents. In many neighborhoods of the city are located other old buildings that served as a workplace for these Norwegian evangelizers.
Plants and companies of national and international reputation make the reputation of Antsirabe. These industrial units are the main sources of funding for this locality. Agricultural products such as fruits and vegetables in the surrounding villages of the city of water supply the markets of the Capital and those of other cities in the provinces of the Great Island. These include carrots, potatoes, apples, pears and peaches.

Tritriva Lake is 15 minutes from downtown. It represents the place of worship of lovers of all ages. According to legend, a couple of lovers threw themselves out of a rush along the lake when their parents banned them from marrying. Their bodies gave life to two semi-aquatic trees whose trunks are entangled, imitating the position of the young people when they killed themselves. Other very attractive sites such as Lake Andrakiba, Independence Avenue or the East Park are filled with a lot of people during festive periods and holidays.
In summary, Antsirabe is a beautiful city rich in history and tourist attractions. It is the place of a capitrated holiday of the population of the Capital and the tourist destination of visitors.
