The South Pole is the southernmost point of the Earth's surface. It is located on the Antarctic continent. Because of its exceptionally difficult climate, the South Pole has no native plants or animals. If Man did not choose this territory to live there, he nevertheless set up research sites on the ground. The Americans are particularly present in Antarctica. Through these 40 pictures, we discover the landscapes of this continent, but also the infrastructures that are built there for scientists on mission there.
